WIAW – No Restrictions

September 24, 2014

Whenever people hear about training for bikini competitions, they think of super restricted diets and only a few foods that are “allowed”. I may sound like a broken record, but I’m SO glad I’m not one of those competitors. Screw that!

My entire prep so far (I’m 7.5 weeks out) I’ve had NO restrictions, and I can eat whatever I want. Of course a lot of it is real, whole foods, because that is what makes me FEEL my best. But it has also allowed me to eat whatever I’m craving. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of my food because lets be real, I love food, and I would not eat it if I didn’t enjoy it. Who’s with me?

Make sure to link up over at Jenn’s blog!

Here is a look at what I’ve been eating lately!

Pancakes before bed. Always a good idea.

If you are what you eat, I’m going to turn into an egg and squash. Obsessed.

Avocado, veggies, and deli turkey in a wrap.

Protein ice cream shake. SO FREAKING GOOD. I swear, this is the BEST i’ve made. And this 1st phorm vanilla actually does taste like vanilla ice cream – I can eat the protein plain it’s that good hahaha. It literally tastes like ice cream. The secret ingredients are arctic zero and guar gum. DO IT. I posted the entire recipe on my instagram the other day.

Still love my bro foods. I’m addicted to brussels and green beans in coconut oil.

More squash, eggs, cheese (on everything), and toast with chunky guac. Oh yeah.

Looove siggi’s yogurt. It’s a bit pricey, and I usually just get a huge tub of Fage from costco, but these are great for a treat.

Spaghetti squash, broccoli, chicken, feta, guac all mixed together.

THESE EXIST. You’re welcome.

Pretending it’s not 90+ degrees here in FL drinking my white girl coffee 😉

More guac on english muffins. I love muffins more than regular bread. So much fluffier.

I haven’t had oats in FOREVER. I ate them almost everyday for the past couple of years because I loved them so much, but I got so burnt out on them. They made a comeback today, and they did not disappoint!

There you have it! Enjoying every delicious bite of food 🙂 Only way to go.

What have you been loving lately?

If you are what you eat, what would you be?

    1. Your eats literally have me drooling girl. So much goodness in one post!! And I feel you on the heat thing…its still in the 80s out here in LA, but the mornings are cooling down, so at least I can drink [my 1st cup] coffee without sweating…

      1. The only way I don’t sweat is because my AC is blasting haha!

    1. WHAT??? How have I not seen that Extra Pumpkin gum! And yes a lot of squash is going down here in Houston. I actually a huge half of kabocha last night roasted with cherry tomatoes, cheese, and hot sauce. It was what I was craving…weird? Loving all that avocado!

      1. I found it at Walgreens!!! So good. Yummm sounds delicious actually, I like weird combos!

    1. Girl, everything looks so goooooood — there’s no way I’d be able to say no to this kind of food either. And if I was what I ate, I’d probably be a chickpea or date right now. Completely ob.SESSED with both… but not together 😆

    1. So it sounds like you’re doing a fitness comp? Cool! I can so see you doing that. The eats look good. And now I’m on a mission to find pumpkin spice gum. Not so sure how good it would be (I’m usually more of a mint gal) but I gotta try it. 🙂

      1. Yes ma’am! I have about 7 weeks to go! I’m usually a minty girl, too, but the pumpkin is good when I want something different 😀

    1. hell to the YES! No restrictions, no problems, baby! That’s what life is all about. Eating and truly enjoying your food. Not eating based on what someone tells you that you “should” or “shouldn’t” eat!

I’ve also been incorporating gluten free oats back into my diet and loving it! Plus, it’s getting chilly here and I crave warm, cozy breakfasts.

      Love you killa
