What I Ate This Week - Brittany Lesser

What I Ate This Week

February 6, 2018

I haven’t done one of these posts on the blog in a HOT MINUTE. In an effort to getting back into blogging regularly, I thought it would be fun to bring these posts back. I love seeing what others are eating and getting recipe and meal inspiration from them. I find that snapping photos of my meals throughout an entire week is much easier for me to remember than in one day. Plus, my eating can be weird sometimes, so seeing meals is just more interesting.

This was a breakfast I had one day at like 1pm lol. This was the first time I could eat eggs since I had the stomach bug over Christmas! I had eggs the morning I got sick, so I’ve had a huge aversion since. This was one of the meals I could eat in the first trimester, I haven’t had it in forever but definitely hit the spot!

My boyfriend looooves to go out to eat, so we do quite often (although I prefer not to as much, honestly). One of our favorite spots is Via Roma, where we had our baby shower! I prefer pizza over pasta, but Matthew loves pasta so we get both and share.

Spinach pizza: pesto, spinach, mushrooms, goat cheese, some type of meat, and we add chicken. SOooooo good.

Shrimp scampi – one of our favorite pasta dishes!

We also always start off with the chicken Caesar salad because it’s the best caesar salad ever.

For breakfasts lately I have been on a huge smoothie kick. They’re so easy, refreshing, and filled with good nutrients.

One of my favorite combos have been: 1/2 frozen banana, some frozen cherries, some frozen mango, a scoop of greek yogurt, scoop (or a half) of vegan vanilla protein powder (I use Women’s Best and have a discount Lesser10), stevia, ice, almond milk. I also enjoy having some peanut butter toast on the side for some extra carbs and fats!

Fresh fruit. Especially pineapple. Obsessed.

Cucumbers and celery for snacks. I honestly love to eat cucumbers with mustard.

I also love to dip these into some hummus.

Same smoothie combo, just added a ton of kale and spinach!

Salad and lemon water. This salad was just spring mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, croutons, and beyond meat “chckn” strips. Delicious!

Another smoothie.. Told ya, I’m on a kick.

Aaaand that’s all the photos I got from last week! Until next time 🙂

    1. Heaps of toast with peanut butter, green smoothies, pizza, and hummus can never do you wrong! Honestly, I just love making simple meals as well and not always spending so much money on going out to eat, though I do love that on occasion! It’s a lot cheaper and better for your health to make your own decadent meals at home! Maybe you and Matt can make a homemade pizza one day!
