Vegan Bean Dip With “Nacho Cheese” Sauce

Do you participate in Meatless Monday? If not, you should! Not only is it good for you and the environment to eat less meat, but it’s honestly fun to come up with new recipes and try new foods. I know I personally get stuck in a rut a lot and eat the same foods over and over again, so one day a week I try a new recipe, try a new food, or try to get creative in the kitchen and come up with something brand new myself.

Not only is it Meatless Monday, but football season has started! Football is certainly my favorite sport, especially since I grew up being a cheerleader my entire life. I’m more about the college football teams, but all football is great really.

Monday Night football is usually a time where you are surrounded by tons of tailgating food, usually including a lot of meat. How in the world will you participate in tailgating festivities during Meatless Monday? It’s simple – bring your own veggie dish!


I don’t know about you all, but I’m obsessed with Mexican food. Refried beans especially has been my LIFE lately. And lets be real, who doesn’t love tortilla chips? And dipping them in everything? Pretty sure most people black out when eating them, and 90340293842039 chips later you’re not sure if you should be proud or to hate yourself. HA.

So, without further ado, I decided to come up with a Loaded Vegan Bean Dip with Nacho “Cheese” Sauce. Oh yeahhhhhh. I teamed up with Silk  who is hosting a Sideline Meat Challenge! If you visit their website, you can find a TON of recipes, and you can enter for a chance to win a giveaway!

Sound good? Great. So now lets get onto the recipe!

For the Bean Dip:

  • 1 can refried beans
  • Black beans (3/4 can)
  • Lettuce/Tomato
  • Nacho sauce
  • Salsa
  • Avocado or guacamole

Directions: Add each ingredient in layers in the order above.

For the Nacho Cheese Sauce:

  • 1/4 c silk plant-based milk (I used almond milk, you can use any)
  • 1/2 c chickpeas
  • 1 TBS (15g) toffuti cream cheese
  • 1 TBS (15g) Tahini Sauce
  • 2 TBS (10g) nutritional yeast
  • 1 TBS salsa
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt
  • Chili Powder
  • Fajita Powder

Directions: Add all ingredients into a blender or food processor. 

Get your favorite corn tortilla chips and DIG IN!

    1. Consider me a huge fan of football and tailgating ever since … now. Truthfully, neither of those is a thing over here but I would happily come everywhere you’d serve this dip. Too bad more than half of the ingredients in it aren’t even available here.
