Thinking Out Loud

January 29, 2015

Hi friends!

I’m alive a well after my surgery, but have been sleeping a TON. Literally all I do all day is eat..and sleep. It’s kind of nice actually 😉 Although I do have a ton of work to do still, and it’s not the most fun to be recovering, I can’t complain too much since recovery hasn’t been treating me too terrible! Make sure you check out my vlogs on my youtube channel where I go into detail about it all. And thank you to the majority of you that are so, so supportive! I love you all.

Since I’m just chilling in bed, I figured it’d be a nice time for a thinking out loud link up over on Amanda’s blog!

I had my last heavy leg session for a while on Sunday before my surgery. Man, I love lifting. That is one thing that I will hate about this recovery process, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

If you go to Whole Foods and don’t get a little bit of everything and pay like $35 for a lunch, you’re doing it wrong. And no, I don’t track macros for this for anyone wondering. I’ve actually rarely been tracking at all, just eating what I want.

Luckily I have this model to keep me company. It’s crazy how much dogs sleep. I swear, ALL DAY he is snoring.

I haven’t had a smoothie in fooooorever, so the other day I was seriously craving one. So good. I wish I could remember all the ingredients but it was something like frozen banana, frozen mango, almond butter, almond milk, cinnamon, stevia, spinach, and I can’t remember what else. But, it was delicious.

None of these pictures are recent. I sure as heck am not as lean as I am in the picture on the right. But I came across the one on the left on my body space account and noticed that I am the SAME exact weight in both of these pictures. Crazy, right? My body composition is completely different. I attribute my body on the right to going through a muscle gaining period. Increasing calories, decreasing cardio. Best thing I’ve ever done!

What is the most you’ve ever spent on whole foods hot bar?

I can’t even remember, but probably like $15 on a salad haha.

What’s your favorite smoothie combo?

      1. Thank you, beauty! Food and rest is basically all that’s going down here haha!

    1. What were you doing in the picture on the left that were weren’t doing on the right? I think you look beautiful in either photos, good on you Brittany.

      1. I hadn’t gone through a “bulking” phase before the picture on the left. I just stopped running long distances and eating little.

    1. I spent almost $20 once…literally put all the toppings on that salad. It was bomb! 🙂

I hope that you start feeling better soon. Just been catching up with your blog and kudos to you on your post-comp reverse diet and all that stuff. And I’m glad your surgery went well hope you recover quickly! You are going to look awesome. I’m also in the itty bitty titty committee lol so i understand the struggle 🙂

Also currently starting to get back into working out. Literally have been on a 5 month hiatus (well past couple of months slowly easing back into it) because of a horrible stress fracture I got from running. When it happened, I dropped a bunch of weight really fast, going from a really skinny weigh to an even more skinny weight…aka lost all my strength and muscle. Looking to get back into the weight lifting and seeing how you have been doing is motivating me even more!! Hahah seriously TMI-ing right now!

      Have an awesome day!

      1. Thank you so much!!! Ahhh get better with the stress fracture, that sounds scary! I love TMI! 😛
