Thankful Thursday

September 4, 2014

I am thankful for SO many things, it’s hard to just pick a few. However, I guess I will go with the most recent ones. Lately I’ve been thinking of how blessed I truly am. Of course everyone has their ups and downs, their hardships, and shitty times – but that’s life.

I used to focus on this so much that it gave me anxiety. I’d always have the outlook of “with my luck…” or “what’s the point, shit will happen anyway”. And honestly, it made my life even harder. Having a positive outlook and focusing on the bright side, and everything you are blessed with really puts things into perspective. Things could always be worse. Change your outlook, and watch your life change – for the better.

Coffee. Enough said.

As much as I hate Florida (and still can’t wait to move), it’s nice to go to the beach every once in a while. It’s even better in the “winter”!

I’m thankful for my health – and for the fact that I am able to lift heavy shit. Another note about these, i’m thankful I’ve finally found my passion in life, maybe even my calling. Not sure if it’s my only purpose in life, but it’s definitely a huge part of it.

I’m thankful for this one. I literally do not know what I’d do without him. It’s crazy to me when people don’t have dogs – they bring so much love and joy into your life.

For my mama, always. She supports me no matter what, and is my best friend. Not only her though, my entire family.

Thankful that I have the luxury to buy nice things – like an iso bag which will be perfect for traveling. Yeah, I only spend my money on food, bills, and fitness stuff. True story.

Thankful to be a part of the Gator Nation. It was my goal to get accepted into this school, and I’m still so proud that I was – twice. First for Journalism, and now for Health Education.

And lastly, thankful that I am able to attend my school 100% online and in another city from the college. How amazing is technology these days? I swear I’m not 90 years old, but still. It’s pretty incredible that I’m getting my bachelors degree fully online.

What are you thankful for?

    1. I am thankful for so many things, but I’d say I am especially thankful for my family and friends and their unconditional love. I have been through a lot and put them through a lot of crap over the years, but they have never stopped loving me and supporting me. Sounds cliche, I know, but it’s true! At the end of the day, they are the ones who keep me going.

Side note; I gotta get me one of those ISO bags! I have been going back and forth between those and the Six Pack Bag, but they are quite a bit more affordable, so I’m thinking I’ll go with ISO. Whatever I save I can spend on protein powder and cute workout clothes, right? 😉

    1. I am thankful for hoping that I have finally found my calling! Similarly to you I have tried different paths and changed my mind several times. I felt lost but thanks to family and friends and some “me” time I think I found it!

      Cute little puppy!

    1. I like your attitude – I should be thankful more often too and appreciate things that I often take for granted, ecause they’re not.
But why do you hate Florida?
