Sooo this whole post is about food. Everyone loves food though, so it’s cool, right? Right. If you say you don’t love food, then I don’t trust you. And you’re probably lying 😉 just kidding. Anyway… here are some things I picked up at the grocery store this last time. I already had some stuff in the fridge/pantry, so it was just stuff that I ran out of!
- Sweet potatoes (to make into fries)
- Brussel sprouts
- Portobello mushrooms
- Pico de gallo
- Veggie burgers (these are delicious)
- Almond milk
- Half & half
- Egg whites
- Dannon light n’ fit greek yogurt
- Silk dairy-free yogurt
- Fat free strawberry cream cheese
- Goat cheese
- Feta cheese
- Nature’s path vanilla almond granola (so good)
I always love looking at people’s grocery hauls to get new ideas!
I also got sent two different protein bars recently and just had to share because they are both uhhhh-mazing. No, I am not getting paid to tell you this, I just like to share products I enjoy with ya’ll!
First up, square bars.
These are vegan and gluten free, which is very allergen friendly! I like that they use all-natural ingredients, and dairy-free usually helps prevent an IBS flare-up. So far every flavor I’ve tried I loved. I also left one in the car one time and it completely melted but I still ate it (read: licked it off the wrapper) and it was just as heavenly.
Next up, detour bars.
I’ve never heard of these actually, but my friend Kim sent me some and man, I am so happy she did! Thank you, Kim! (she is a sweet heart).
These are gluten free, and VERY macro friendly! I tried them all and they are all delicious, but I have to say, my top two favorites were the apple cinnamon and the salted caramel cookie dough. The apple cinnamon literally tastes like apple pie, and the salted caramel cookie dough tastes like a twix bar or something. Obsessed with both.
