Behind the Blogger: Part 1

Hi loves! Since I'm trying to get back to blogging regularly after a long hiatus, I thought it would be fun to dive a little more into who I am as a person. Especially since times have changed a LOT since I was blogging regularly - I have grown and evolved as a person, and life has changed drastically. Of course, there are so many things that have remained the same, as I am still the same person at my core. I also believe there is more than meets the eye, or shall I say, social media channels. Most of you who know me probably immediately think of health and fitness when you see or hear my name. While health and fitness is one of the biggest parts of my life, it isn't the only part and it isn't my only passion. There is more to me than … [Read more...]

Body Image Struggles During Pregnancy

Yesterday, I realized I was 16 weeks pregnant. Yesterday marked the beginning of month five of this pregnancy, which is just C R A Z Y to me. I can still feel the tightness in my chest, the dizziness, the nervousness, the pressure in my cheeks because they hurt from smiling so hard, and the extreme excitement/hyperventilation when I saw those positive pregnancy tests on June 24, 2017. If you've followed me for a long time, you know how badly I've always wanted to be a mom. As an extremely indecisive person, being a mom has been the only thing that I have always been 100% sure of. I have always stated that I feel as if it is my purpose in life. Can we have more than one purpose? In my opinion, absolutely. However, my other purposes in … [Read more...]

Body Image Talk – How to Stay Positive

Lets talk body image. I really try to be as transparent and honest as I possibly can with you all. Social media has the tendency to make it seem like everyone's life is all sunshine and butterflies, but in reality, EVERYONE has problems. Everyone struggles, and no one is perfect. I'm constantly preaching to love your body at every stage but honestly, I struggle with doing so. Last week I literally just started crying. I'm not as lean as I was, I don't have abs, I have more cellulite than before, a lot of my clothes do not fit me, and mix that with some PMS/hormones and the outcome is a nice, big cry.  I did this for a couple days, and I was just wallowing in my own sorrow. I felt really unmotivated to even workout and just was not … [Read more...]

Fitness Q&A

Clothing Haul on a Budget

Want to know a secret? I secretly HATE shopping. Actually, it's not a secret, but it is true. Don't get me wrong, I love getting new things but the actual act of trying on a bunch of clothes and then spending money.. bleh. Not only that, but I usually end up buying only workout clothes. Then I complain that I have no real life clothes ;) However, I recently went shopping and was super happy that I ended up with only ONE pair of workout pants, and actually got cute clothes on the cheaper side! I am such a budget shopper when it comes to clothes, and Kohl's is like my favorite store. You can usually get cute stuff for less money than you would normally spend. And no, this isn't a sponsored post hah. Since it's summer out, the thought of … [Read more...]

Is Counting Macros Stressing You Out? Here’s the Simple Solution.

I love the fact that I can see how people find my blog, because it gives a better idea of what kind of topics people are searching for. That helps me helps YOU, which is one of the main reasons I do blog! If you couldn't guess, yes, someone found my blog by searching about macros and being stressed out. Someone also found my blog by searching "breast lesser egg" but that's a completely different scenario hahaha! Anyway, this actually isn't the first time I've seen this topic pop up in my searched for section. I've seen various different searched topics including "how to live life counting macros". It seems to be pretty common in the health and fitness world. I think there are two types of people: those who get super stressed out by … [Read more...]

Perfect Sweet Potato Fries

I am nowhere near a food blogger. Or a chef. Or even a girl who really know's how to cook. I just make stuff up and hope I don't burn the house down and the food comes out edible. I like simplicity, because really, food is food and I'll eat it all. I don't discriminate! To be honest, I really love the taste of simple food anyway, so that's what I end up making! Which is why what I'm about to show you isn't anything crazy. I'm pretty sure my dog could make this. That'd actually be awesome. Before I get off on a tangent, lets talk about sweet potatoes. There was a time when I ate them every single day for YEARS. I've talked about this before - when I like something, I eat it until I pretty much hate it. My hands are actually still … [Read more...]

I saw this survey on Colleen's blog, as well as a few others, and I always love reading it! I like seeing what people are loving and are into at the moment, especially since things are always changing. Isn't it crazy how much can change in such a short period of time? I think back to things just a couple months ago, and they seem like they were so long ago. Trippy. Anyway, before I get off onto a tangent (as usual), here are my currents: Current Book(s): Just started reading Intuitive Eating. Been wanting to read this for a long time - so far, so good! Current Music: Obsessed with this song lately. Current Nail Color: French gel manicure that's almost 2 weeks old. Still going strong! Current Drink: Coffee … [Read more...]
