What Beauty Means to Me

September 16, 2014

Jumping back into the September Blogging Challenge today, and the topic is Makeupless Monday / What beauty means to me. Yes, it’s Tuesday, but I didn’t post yesterday, so it works πŸ˜‰

I never wear makeup, so here’s a make-up less selfie from the other day before my workout.

Beauty to me is many things, but I don’t think of “physical beauty” that many people may think of when they hear that word. It is SO much more than that, and I have definitely learned that over the years. Of course, almost every girl has had insecurities, and maybe still does. I’ll be honest, I know I sure did, and still do. It’s human nature for us girls, especially because of the way the media portrays beauty. Thankfully, I’m learning to get over that, and am so much more comfortable in my own skin for doing so. I have never been happier.

Beauty is intelligence.

Beauty is self-confidence.

Beauty is a kind heart.

Beauty is doing good.

Beauty is helping others.

Beauty is doing what you love.

Beauty is being passionate about something.

Beauty is loving others.

Beauty is being a good freaking person.

Beauty is a sense of humor.

Beauty is hard work and determination.

Beauty is your body, however it isΒ right now.

Beauty is all shapes, all sizes, all colors.

Beauty is being humble.

Beauty is BEING YOURSELF.

The last one is definitely the main thing. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, and that’s what makes us all unique. What would life be like if everyone was the same? Pretty freaking boring. Be you, and own that shit. The world needs more variety, and you are perfect just the way you are.

What is beauty to you?

    1. Beauty is SO much more than physical appearance. You are lucky enough to be beautiful by both definitions. πŸ™‚ Love this post.

    1. i am a great follower of Abdul Kalam. He said that I’M NOT HANDSOME. BUT I CAN GIVE MY HAND TO SOME ONE WHO NEEDS HELP . BEAUTY IS IN HEART NOT IN FACE. so you are beautiful only when you have good heart. Don’t think by applying fair and lovely you will become beautiful. GOOD BYE.
