If not, I'm sure you can guess from the title :) Yes, I am in fact pregnant with my first child and I couldn't be more excited!!!!! Those of you who really know me or have been keeping up with my journey for a while, know that I always say that my purpose in life is to become a mama. After going through amenorrhea, losing my period, and just tons of ups and downs in my health and fitness journey, I am beyond blessed that I have the opportunity to create life and bring a child into this world. How To Build Lean Muscle

When people say they want to build "lean muscle" or they are going on a "lean bulk" what they are essentially saying is that they are going to build muscle and bulk in a controlled manner. There is just MUSCLE. Not lean, not bulky. It's all the same muscle. Similarly with the word toned - there is no such thing as being "toned". What toned actually means is that the person who you are referring to as "toned", has taken time to build muscle and then also took time to shed the fat to reveal that muscle. "Don't compare yourself to others." I'm sure you've heard this phrase over and over, and for good reason. Comparing yourself to other people is a waste of time, energy, and emotion that probably isn't positive. I know that the time I've spend comparing myself to other people tend to be negative and simply put me down. It happens sometimes still, but I'm much more aware of it and catch myself once I start to fall into this comparison trap. Reality of Bikini Prep – Will I Ever Compete Again?

This past weekend I competed in my second, and most likely, my last bikini competition. Prior to this weekend, I competed one other time in October of 2014. I had a decent prep and ended up winning my class at the show in 2014 and I thought I really enjoyed competing. I decided to take quite a bit of time off after my body not responding to another prep that I tried to start in February of 2015. I ended up taking over a year off, and it was definitely needed in order to make the improvements I needed. When Should You Make Changes to Your Macros?

I get so many questions around the topic of macros - what should they be, when should I adjust, should I carb cycle, is there a specific percentage to use, how do you know if they're working, etc. I think one of the most common questions though is in regards to when you should CHANGE your macros, or adjust them. Balance. I feel like this is a word thrown around a lot lately, and everyone is talking about it - either finding balance, having balance, what is balance even, etc. Lets start with what is balance? LA Fit Expo Experience

Wow. So usually on this blog I've been keeping it less and less like a day-in-the life type of blog and more of a topic/informative post type of blog. However, this was something I just had to share and document with you all. I decided very last minute to go to the LA Fit Expo, even though it was a super short trip. I always say I want to go to expos but never do, either because of work, money, or all of the above.
